Khonkaen

The hot season spans February to May, with day temperatures rising to approximately 35 degree Celsius, May to October you will witness heavy rainfall and the winter season from October to the February end, witnessing average 25 degree Celsius during the day.

The king cobra village or Ban Khok Sa-nga in Tambon Sai Mun has become a popular sight seeing where you’ll find unique species of pets, and king Cobra varieties in every household. Phu Kao-Phu Phan Kham National Park in Amphoe Ubolratana and Amphoe Non Sang of Nong Bua Lam Phu province is known for deciduous ipterocarp forests amongst other fauna. The forests showcase different gamuts in the first week of November. The Khon Kaen National Museum is the place to explore for rich and traditional Thai antiquities and precious art forms, besides, skeleton of New Stone Age man. You can visit Khon Kaen by bus, air, train, or car. Thai Airways offers continuous weekly flights to the city. Traveling by train you can get close down to heart of locals and not to say a word on those spectacular sights which you can see through train’s window. Bus traveling is convenient for short trips in and around the Khon Kaen. .
The city is not rich in nightlife. You will also come across active dance pubs out here. Khon Kaen offers very cheap hotels, resorts and other staying options to foreign tourists.
