Nakhon Nayok

NAKHONNAYOK– Destination not to be missed for its serenity Nakhonnayok province is about 106 Km from Bangkok city. It is well connected by road and you can take any form of transport to go there. As you come out of the city you can feel nature slowly overtaking you and you realize you are heading towards a calmer and natural environment. The roads are wide and less congested than the city.

Tourist attractions
Nam Tok Sarika is the most popular tourist attraction . It is a waterfall with 9 cascades. It is located 15 km east of the town. The first level which is immediately visible on arriving at the vicinity give a breathtaking view of the scenery around. Another waterfall is the Nam Tok Nam Rong about 20 km east of the town. It also has multi-level cascades over rocks with a pool at the bottom that can be used for swimming.
At the Chulachumkhlao Royal Military Academy , set in beautiful hills and undulating valleys , visitors can engage in a number of activities . It offers mock enemy attacks , shooting ranges, bike rides , rope gliding and many more. One very popular sight is a huge model ship built just at the entrance of the academy. Good for taking photographs.
Wang Takhrai is a resort with a botanical garden and a stream where tourists can take a swim. It has beautiful scenic beauty.
Rafting and canoeing can be done on the Nakhon Navok River.
Other attractions
Ongkarak Plant Market at Klong 15 is an important source of ornamental plants and flowers. It also has international link. It is right on the Rangsit Nakhonnayok Highway.
Wat Phramani is 9 km south of the town with a memorial for Japanese soldiers who died during the Second World War.
How to Reach.
From Bangkok City there are daily ordinary and Air conditioned buses plying from Northern Bus terminal Bangkok. to Nakhon nayok . You can reach by car either by driving along a Highway no.305 or A Highway no.1 taking a right turn at Hin Gong.
