  • Narathiwat Located approx 1,149 kilometers south of Bangkok is the southernmost province in Thailand and among one of the Thailand’s five provinces that borders Malaysia at Amphoe Su-ngai Kolok, where the southern railway line ends.

  • Narathiwat literally means "the residence of good people". The city of Narathiwat has an plenty of traditional culture and authenticity with village-like serenity. The inhabitants of Narathiwat are largely fishermen and farmers with the majority being Muslims who use the spoken and written Yawi language As such, Narathiwat is an amazing and unique area with a constant flow of culture and trade between Thais and Malaysians.
The town of Narathiwat is visited by few tourist , but it makes a useful base for exploring the surrounding region, However caution is adviced as the province experiences frequent acts of violence carried out by Extremist, The muslim Fishing village is a good place to see the tradional painted “Korlae” boat there are number of good beaches surrounding the town the best is Ao Manao which is 6 kms to the south .
