PATHUM THANI This province shares the same Chao Phraya river basin as Nonthaburi. It is only 46 km from Bangkok, north of old Don Muaeng International Airport. The name means The City of Lotus. It derived its name when King Rama II visited the place and the local people greeted him with a large number of Lotus flowers.Its original name was Muang Sam Khok.

Places to go National Science Museum ,The Southeast Asian Ceramics Museum (SEACM) The Supreme Artist Hall ,City Pillar Shrine Wat Chinwararam ,Wat Chedi Thong ,and Wat Phai Lom to name a few. Wat Hong Pathummawat was built in 1764. There is a fish sanctuary in front of the temple and attracts a lot of tourists and visitors. Talat Thai is Thailand’s largest wholesale retail market mostly dealing with agricultural products of the country including potted plants and flowers. It is located in Tambon Rangsit.
Dream World is 10 minutes drive from the old airport of Don Muang. It has replicas of fairyland stories, Disneyland , and many major world legends.
